Toledo is home to the two-time defending International League Baseball team the Toledo Mud Hens. The Mud Hens are the Class AAA affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, and have graduated a great number of players into the Major Leagues. Toledo is also home to the Toledo Storm, an Eastern Coast Hockey League team, who are affiliated with the Detroit Red Wings.
The Toledo Museum of Art is a privately endowed, nonprofit institution noted for the quality of its permanent collection and art education programs. The Toledo Symphany, Opera, and Ballet provide the city with some cultural experiences.
